A paper by Yukawa (M2) and Professor Shiokawa of KDE-SALT has been accepted to EDBT 2027 (The 30th International Conference on Extending Database Technology), a major international conference in the database field.
In this paper, we proposed C2-score, a metric for evaluating the quality of schemas for graph databases. Through a user study with more than 30 participants, we showed that C2-score evaluates quality in a way close to the judgment of database administrators. We also used C2-score to identify schema patterns that existing schema design methods have overlooked, and presented methods for improving them.
The results will be presented at the main conference of EDBT 2027, to be held in Lille, France, on April 6–9, 2027. A software library for C2-score will also be released soon.
